The obverse captures a dramatic turning point in Bödvar’s life. Bound in chains, he stands helpless before an overwhelming attacker, while his wife Astrid falls amidst the flames consuming their village. The scene is filled with tension and emotion, as her final words reveal that their daughter Sunneva has been taken. This moment of devastation ignites Bödvar’s fury and sets him on his relentless quest for justice.

The reverse features the sacred Mount Thorbjørn, depicted as a towering rocky formation shaped like a roaring bear symbolising strength and divine power. A Sowilo rune is carved into its forehead, while waterfalls flow from the bear’s mouth into the rivers below. Surrounding the design is a mystical runic circle, with chains wrapping around the composition to represent Bödvar’s fate. At the center, a Germanic shield bearing a double-headed eagle reinforces the coin’s mythological and symbolic depth.
